The Neukölln Intercultural Education Team (IKAT) is a model project funded by the Neukölln District Office and implemented by Chance BJS gGmbH. We are a team of seven people with very different biographies and backgrounds and that is our greatest strength. Together we speak twelve languages and deliver you the most important current information about the pandemic – in person, in several languages and always at eye level.
We are here for all of Neukölln’s residents in these difficult times. We are at your side and advise on all questions relating to the pandemic. The greatest potential for fighting pandemics lies in each and every one of us. In order to meet this great responsibility, it is crucial that the important information on how to protect from infection is available to all people. We would like to build a bridge between the district health department and the Neukölln residents.
We are on the spot to inform Neukölln’s citizens about the infection protection regulations as well as the measures and offers of the health department in the COVID-19 crisis. We support the mobile and open general practitioner consultation in Neukölln with language mediation. For those affected by the containment measures, we offer information and consultation by phone, video call or chat in order to provide important advice.
We are available almost around the clock. And if you cannot reach us directly, you can leave us a message on our mailbox so that we can call you back immediately.
Because even in isolation, nobody should be left alone.
